About

Our Practice

Plastic Surgery, whether sought out purely for cosmetic reasons, after a traumatic injury or to correct a physical feature, can have profound impact on a patient's appearance and quality of life. It helps the body and the spirit and is designed to improve both form and function.

For almost three decades, Dr. Danny Fong has successfully treated thousands of patients in his practice. Their backgrounds are as varied as their reasons to seek out Dr. Fong's expertise. They have ranged in age from as young as a few days to their 90's and have come to see Dr. Fong from all over the United States and from as far as Hong Kong, Japan, Europe, South America and West Africa.

Most of the minimally-invasive procedures Dr. Fong performs involving local anesthesia or IV sedation take place right in our office or at our adjacent surgical suite for the convenience of the patient. Other procedures performed at the hospital on an out-patient basis allow the patient to return home within a few hours. Always, Dr. Fong's aim is to allow his patients to return to work, school and normal activities as quickly as possible.

Whether it is chronic hand pain, sport's related injuries or a fall off the bike, Dr. Fong treats all conditions affecting the hand and wrist. These include all types of fractures and lacerations, tendon and nerve injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, trigger finger, ganglion cysts, dupuytren's contracture and infections or injuries of the nail. As needed, we will schedule certain procedures for Dr. Fong to perform in hospital at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center.

Pediatric Practice

Dr. Fong takes care of children from infant stage through the teenage years for a range of conditions, from facial lacerations to abnormal lesions, infections of the skin, splinters, burns, animal bites, nasal fractures to all athletic injuries of fingers or wrist as well as a range of congenital abnormalities like polydactyly and birthmarks. We can accommodate even our youngest patients for their office-based surgical procedures, as needed with a pediatric anesthesiologist on the team.

From a patient

Dr. Fong was really great, especially after seeing 3-4 different people who wouldn't have removed the mole I had between my toes. Very caring and considerate. I would go back to him in a heartbeat! His assistants and office staff are equally as wonderful and went out of their way to fit me in as quick as possible. Thank you!!
